I applaud these efforts, especially in my home state. I only hope the gains are worth the means. It is also worthy to note that the effort is basically tax payer and private charity funded. The logging company who is responsible for the damage is nowhere to be found.

This situation needs to be considered when we talk about major industrial development in salmon spawning areas. The Pebble Mine needs to be at the forefront of the habitat awareness of fisher people of all breeds.

It is always pleasing to hear that people are looking after habitat, instead of trying to stock the rivers as there will be fish for longer if they can maintain their own numbers

We have similar problems ahead with some of our salmon spawning areas (not logging as it has been illegal for a long time now since they were declared national parks), but farming with cattle that fowl water and pebble beds for salmon and rainbow spawning (cant understand how it can be allowed)
