Fishing the Adirondack

Hi Everyone,
I will be heading up to fish the West Branch of the Au Sable River from July 9-11 with a guide from my local(1 1/2 hour drive from my house is as local as it gets) fly shop and 5 other people. Does anyone have any expierence fishing the river this time of year? If so, what should I expect?(Conditons, Hatchs, Flies, etc)

Take a good bug spray, black flies may still be about on those dates. These will ruin a good time....................... how do I know that...............
