Neversink Gorge

I'll be going through the area and have read about Neversink Gorge. I am pretty sure I want to try it but I am having trouble getting any information on where to park, how far (or long-time wise) it takes to hike down to the river. What are the logistics, that is, if you want to use waders- put them in a pack and haul them in? All help most appreciated. Thanks.

I fished that with two friends in mid April for the first time.....you may have to google it but its the Katrina Falls Rd exit off of Rt. 17 I believe there was parking provided for a number of cars. It is bit of a hike.....albeit well worns paths so you won't be going through any heavy brush directly and its easier going down than coming back uphill (LOL). I would urge you journey back up hill before it starts getting dark. We did carry our waders in a napsak and put them on down by the river ......which i'm gllad we did. It was a few miles per my recall.....unbelievable scenery.
