Neversink in early September

A buddy of mine and myself are planning a trip to the Neversink early this September. Any tips on hot spots or flies for this time of year would be greatly appreciated as neither one of us have any experience on this river.

That wasn't on my radar but I might make the hike one of these days, that looks like a gorgeous area and from what I read it stays cold all year, and should be fine for even mid summer fishing.

I was told that right below the dam was good as the water will be cold. I actually checked it out recently. I didn't know how to get down below the dam as it was marked as no trespassing, but you can get to the river a bit further down.

The East Branch out beyond Roscoe looked promising, lots of risers but of the small variety. However, save for a carp, I got skunked. I have a feeling that they're fairly thick in there, I saw a lot of them but only ever saw small (real babies) trout.

Nefarious__1 - Shoot me a PM. I grew up fishing those waters and have some ideas for you. If you're making the trip out there - I wouldn't just limit youself to the 'Sink. Let me know where you're staying, how long, etc.
