Default West Branch, Delaware River

*this is also posted in the Mid-Atlantic sections since it borders PA*

I have some free time this weekend and want to make a trip down to the West Branch of the Delaware. People have told me it's great fishing, but I have no idea where to hit up. Does anyone have any recommendations of locations or a good website about the area?

Any help would be great.

Thank you!!

Thanks!

Should I just start in Deposit and head down the west/south side of the river along Co. Route 249/River Rd? Is there good public access there?

If you ever want to do a guide trip up there. Go to West Branch Angler in Depost.

i would not, there is limited parking on that side. First, since we are getting hit with hurricane Irene I would call it a wash this weekend.

There is more access on the north side of the river. Go to Hale eddy cross the bridge and make a left 1 mile down is west branch anglers. They sell a good river map for about 5 bucks. If your the type that needs a guide they have them there also.

looks like i'm gonna be heading up there in a couple weeks too. Second time this year.
Had a blast on a float trip in June with my buddy for his birthday, but this time we're gonna just hit the access points and fish where we want.

Definitely could use some info re Access points etc. Particularly on PA/NY border waters.

Gamelands access. On opposite side of river from RT. 17. Cross at Hale's Eddy. Go south past WB Angler. Plenty of access from there. OR stop in at any fly shop and pick up a fold out guide to river and acess points. WB has 'em.
