Default Fishing the Deerfield River in the Winter?

I have never fished the Deerfield during the winter months and was just kind of curious if anyone else has? Is it worth fishing during the winter? I usually just fish the Swift during the winter months, but I would like to try someplace different for a change and take in some different scenery.

I thought of that too, the flows are over 2200 .....
I'll save you some gas $ , the Millers is the same and frozen.

looks like the Swift is it for now ................

I just looked at the flow chart, it looks like there are brief windows where the flow is 1500 to 1800. I have to admit , out of desperation I am thinking of taking a ride out. The crowds on the Swift are getting old. It is just over an hr. for me. I think its a safe bet there wont be many people there ! I should have talked to the Harrisons at the show this past weekend , I see them down on the Swift if that tells us anything ......

Hey eastfly thanks for the reply.

Yeah I know the flows are high out there on the Deerfield, and I definitely know the Millers is frozen up cause I live close by it.

I definitely agree with you on the crowds down the swift getting old... That's why I was thinking of exploring a little westward.
