Default Lincoln NH Flyfishing Opportunities

I will be in Lincoln, NH the first weekend in October. I would appreciate any pointers regarding fly fishing opportunities for trout in that area.

Thanks - Jim

The water is still very low, but you could try the east branch of the Pemigewasset (the Pemi) right there in Lincoln. The river flows right along the Kancamagus Hyw (rt 112) but you might like it better upstream in the National Forest. Just hike in from the Lincoln Woods trailhead.
Even though that area is a designated "wilderness" I don't think the Pemi is considered a "wild trout stream". That would be a problem as their season is closed already
If you want to try a pond, Echo Lake at the Cannon Mtn ski area and Profile Lake, the site of the (former) Old Man of the Mountain, both up in Franconia Notch are good, but you'll have every tourist in the state stopping to watch.
Let me know in a PM if you'd like some other ideas

Rip Tide -

Can Profile Lake be fished easily without a canoe or float tube?

Thanks - Jim

"Easily" might be a stretch, but yeah but there are areas where you can wade or fish from shore
