Default Boots: Boat and Stream

I like to wear waders while I fish freshwater from the boat so that I can quickly get out of the boat at the shore when fishing.

I currently have studded felt shoes and from reading on here, I realize that the felt is bad and I don;t like the studs on my boat.

So I am looking for a boot that is good for wearing on the boat as well as in the streams.

Currently, I am wearing an old pair of tennis shoes with my waders on the boat, and wearing the felt studs in the stream.

Any recommendations?

I had a chance to borrow a pair of Simms boots with the Vibram rubber StreamTread soles. Without the screw-in studs, the StreamTread soles grip just as well as felt in the water. Out of the water, the grip just as well as lugged boots.

Another option for you is to put down some rubber mats or carpet on the floor of you boat.

Simms Rivershed boots. Kick felt all over the place.
