I wear camo when stalking the bank or wading, or at least natural colors that blend in with the surroundings, especially in small, confined streams.
I too feel that anything that helps hide my approach is worth using. On big water, and fishing from a boat, I don't think it matters as much, but I still tend to wear the natural colors. There are some small tidal creeks I like to fish that I think it helps to wear camo. If nothing else it improves my confidence level! :shades:
Most of the camo I own is the Real Tree or Mossy Oak type, but I also have some of the older Woodland Camo. I haven't done any hunting in several years, but would like to get back into it with my one son, who has been in the Navy the last 6 years, and has some interest in hunting, so I've kept my hunting clothing & gear.
Since Natural Gear was previously mentioned, I've got a couple of their long sleeve shirts I really like a lot for fishing. The pattern blends in well with most any background, and even when out & about not fishing, it doesn't necessarily look like I just came out of the woods! :thumbsupu
