At my age anymore I need new glasses every 2 years, when I pick up the new glasses I give the eye doc a pair of the last model and he has them polorized for me, only 20 bucks.

I had a pair that I used as back ups. I gave them to a guide down in Mexico. The polarization works, but compared to high end glasses, but the optical quality is not as nice. There is a noticeable amount of light distortion if you are used to quality lenses.
