I tie teasers for myself and a few of the plug guys in my club. We fish them above the plugs or tins, you guys fish them behind the lure?

I've fished flies above plugs as teaser's but these I use on the spoon instead of trebles. The spoons are used primarily vertical around bridge pilings, or in open water when schools of baitfish are in the area. I don't do much surf fishing, but do know that some guys who use the tin's in the surf don't always use the dressed hooks on the tin. I use the Krocodile type spoons a lot for jigging. Just gives them a different look.

I'll also use a single dressed hook on plugs as a tail hook, just depends on the type of plug.

Gottcha, less messy with a siwash style hook. I love Krocodiles but hate the trebles.

Yep, I like the Siwash hooks! I still use some trebles, but much prefer singles. I usually de-barb all of them, even trebles. Some of the teasers in that box are tied on O'Shaughnessy type hooks too. Since a lot of the fish I catch are Schoolie size, they work just fine, especially since they'll often bend enough if I get hung up on the pilings to get my lure back.

I'm twitching as I look at that pic. Cast one of those poppers on top of a pad, strip it off and wait...
