Tell ya what, I cast a Sage Circa at lunch today, boy was that a mistake. That is one SWEET rod. I like it better then my TCX I think, which is quiet the bummer.

Best Personal Watercraft-NRS Clearwater Drifter. An inflatable drift boat? Could be interesting to see the reviews a year from now.

My "favorite" is a spray you apply to a sunken fly to enhance its U/V visability as penetrating light deminishes in the depths...can U/V dubbing, plumage and rubber leggs be far behind?

This one tickled my fancy: "Best New Fly Pattern – SaltwaterMontana Fly Company"

This also caught my attention: http://www.anglingtrade.com/2012/08/...water-drifter/

$6,000 ... you can put it in the back of your car ......... Bring friends, thing weighs 300 pounds (if the article above is correct)!

Kind of a novel idea, but with all the framing, seats, etc. I can't see taking that thing down and then going to the trouble of putting it all back together each time you go fishing, but I guess if you didn't have room to store a drift boat at the house this would fit the bill as you could store it in the garage. The weight isn't anything special, I believe Clackas run around 275 lbs and I think the Hydes are in that same range. I wonder if it has a solid floor to stand on, that is my main complaint with rafts that I have been in.

Darned good point! Even though we don't have any real descriptions of the boat (dare I use that word?) I'd think (at 300 pounds) there's a whole lot more to it than just the shell. But you do raise another good point: a full on glass boat weights the same and I can't see this thing not going on a trailer for transport.

And if that's the case .. why bother? Just thinking out loud.....

A rubber raft can take on a stream filled with boulders (a lot of the Colorado guys use rafts for that reason). A couple weeks ago, I was on the North Fork of the Shoshone river just west of Cody, WY with a couple of friends in a rubber raft. That river is so rocky there just isn't anyway a guy could get a driftboat down it.....at least without destroying the boat. Maybe this thing would offer the benefits of a raft in a drift boat style???? It will be interesting to see more information on this boat.

Yup; will be interesting to see if this actually gets a lot of commercial 'eye-balling.' Candidly, I'm not going to pay attention.
