Still wearing a Columbia, just like PT's. It's been sewed and mended, etc for years.

When I fish creeks or know I'm just going to dry or dry/dropper fish all day I switch to a pouch (worn with a sling) that will hold a days worth of stuff....and I prefer that. But when fishing where I need the full arsenal, the vest is still the answer for me...

It's hard to downsize what I carry....and I like the idea that if an opportunity arises grabbing the vest is a one step exit strategy . -Mike

What I use is often dictated by the weather (especially in the winter when extra clothes may be needed). Whenever I can, I like to use my Fishpond chest pack.

I completely agree with WilliamJH that we tend to expand to our available space. Just look at my fly boxes, hundreds of patterns yet I've probably caught 90% of my fish on Parachute Adams, Copper Johns, and Wooly Buggers!
