So I gave in and bought a pair of Abel nippers... thanks to them I caught a 100lb sturgeon on 7x tippet... must've been because I was able to get that precision nipping action that a finger nail clipper just can't do... and it made for a beyond perfect knot

I'm guessing the OP is REALLY sorry to have posed this question.

The sofa thread started with a spammer trying to sell a red sectional sofa. I was actually pretty funny.

I love nice made in the U.S.A. equipment. My gold colored nail clippers that was available at a labor conferance for union officials were free and made in the U.S.A. I still have 2 pair that I picked up and kept from the 1990's. Thanks BC/BS who paid for them with my money.

Why stop at 12? Maybe we can make this and the red sofa a standard thread ! Think about it this thread has more posts than some really good and important fly fishing threads . Maybe Abel will throw in an advertising allowance and the red sofa guy can put an ad next to it!

Dan every time I see that picture of that Sturgeon I am amazed! I have only seen one other picture ever of a big fly caught Sturgeon. Someday I'd really like to hear how you got that vacuum cleaner to eat a fly ! Has to be a heck of a story!
