Default Score at dicks

I was at dicks today and the had a 50% off lowest marked price rack. So I took a look and there was some rods (that I wish I had got) but they had a nice little reel marked $29. So really only $15. Its an nice match for my 5' ultra light rod. Click the image to open in full size.

when i was growing up, me, my brother and my dad all used ugly stick fly rods for king salmon. to this day one of the strongest rods i have ever laid my hands on.

I just couldn't refuse the deal. I already have a pfluger trion reel that's the same size and I love it. I also love ugly stick rods. They are too expensive (cheap really) and the will bend in a circle and not snap. I have a field and stream rod for the pfluger and its a 5'6" ul rod and that combo is jus about perfect for my taste.

Nice score!!!

I'm kicking myself for giving my ultralight rig away. I'll most likely pick up an Ugly Stick.

I found a really nice little Shakespeare ultra light rod at Wally World for 18 bucks. Its a stiff 5'6" rod geared for 1/16th and up. It'll throw 1/32nd ok as well. Of course I paired it with a Penn Battle reel, what can I say, the reel is cool.

The best thing about Ugly stick is some of their ads.
