I like the design of the Tenkara nets " the bent handle makes for scooping fish much easier I would to have a tradition net with a bent handle. But have never found one.

Greg at Sierra Nets makes works of art:

I camped and fished with him last year on the Upper Owens in CA, he's a great guy.

Well since I decided earlier this year to stop using my measure net I have since gotten two. Got the Brodin Ghost Firehole for Fathers day. Today I found the Nomad Mid Length landing net on sale for $99 from $149 so I snagged it for those times I chase bigger fish (i.e. dream stream)

Dang it, where did you find that deal? I am putting that nomad on my x-mas list I've decided. But if I come across one for $99 its mine and I'll save my wife $50!

I was at Front Range Anglers today and they said they had bought some overstock from Fishpond and were passing on the savings. I wanted the camo one but it was just the plain green on sale, which is just fine by me.

Yeah I was waffling on getting one even though I am going back after lake run browns next week. The sale sealed the deal.

Thats a great deal. After my last outing of catching some decent sized browns and having them flop out of my current net I am not waffling anymore. The net I'm using is a nice long hoop, 16x9" but the bag is too shallow and it doesn't hold a fish worth a darn. Its really a bummer because its a handmade wooden net and it wasn't cheap. I guess I could just replace the bag, that would be cheapest. Otherwise just go without a net. Or get that nice long handled super light weight nomad...
