Nice,

You put some thought into that and it shows. Since I have a similar rack, I didn't make it but it allows me to suggest a thin foam rubber pipe wrap on the cross member to cushion the reel seats. Good design, have you considered the magnets off of speakers?

I hope this gets some views and replies, well done.

I'd like to think I could be smart enough Ard but I didn't make this video; I am going to make one of these racks for next season though and your suggestion will be part of the construction now, Thanks!

Pretty cool looking rod carrier and I also like Ard's idea of using some thin foam wrap on the plastic pipe, it would go a long ways in protecting the rods. I have one made out of copper tubing that futuramille (JJ) made for me a few years back, they sure are handy when moving from one spot to another on a river.

I like the idea a lot I drive a truck so I have a couple sticks of 1 1/2" PVC strapped to the inside of the bed and put bungee cords on the butts to wrap around the base of the reel.

That's pretty cool!

Even cheaper:

A: Place the butt end (reel itelf if possible) under the windshield wiper.

B: Place a U shaped magnet just above the windshield.

Road tested to 65mph.

Guess I'll make a couple of these, I have thought about something like this for a while, just never put any REAL thought into it.

Agreed. Much cheaper and very effective. Just don't use the wipers in the rain...seriously.
