Thumbs up Re: Sunglasses Amber or Blue

One colour that hasn't brought up (did I miss it?) are 'Shooter's high contrast yellow.' Loved those things for low light conditions up in Western Washington. No idea what I did with them but haven't see a set in years.

I have always gotten more from amber or brown lenses. Better underwater views, less headaches from squinting, and better color definition. Remember to wear a hat that has a dark color on the underside of the bill or brim. What ever color lenses you prefer, they will work better for you if you can minimize reflected glare

I prefer the blue lenses in really clear water. I have tried both amber and blue. I had bolle polarized amber lenses. I upgraded to Costas which are blue 400 glass. They have been great in trout streams and at the lake.

You'll be happy with the Costa 580s. My current pair is a Costa "tuna alley" in copper. I wear them all day, everyday, and love em.
