Default Gear Tie (reusable rubber twist tie)

I saw these little fellows in two packs up at Lowes in Billings a couple weeks ago. My first thought was they look handy, second thought was FLY FISHING. I stuck one in my vest and use it to secure my rod to a bush branch when I take a break, take a wrap around the forward end of the rod sections when I'm done and on the way back to the truck, etc. Real handy when fishing. They are a semi stiff thick rubber coated wire that stays put when you put a twist or bend in it. Thought you guys might like to give them a try, they come in different lengths and diameters. Probably Home Depot has them too.

I bought a few of these in assorted sizes a while back to keep in the camp bag, no exact idea of what to use then for, but thought they'd likely come in handy some day.

I really like these too. I use them in my home-made vehicle rod rack.

I use them to secure my spin fishing rods when I have to walk away so a fish won't take them when I am in the men's room.
