The problem that I have with neoprene waders while river fishing is that I do a lot of walking. From the truck to the river, from one fishing spot to the next, etc... If you walk very much in those things you will break a sweat and soon become quite uncomfortable and can even get cold from the trapped moisture... especially when coming out.
