Default Bogg Boots

My wife bought me a pair of Bogg boots for xmas. If you are not familiar with these, they are just like Muck boots. She was thinking I could use these for wading, since I don't have wading boots anymore. Would they work for this purpose?

Hi SdDryFly,

If you have waders and want to use them for wadding shoes I think they would be a problem. First sand, rocks and sticks would get into the tops. Second the toes may be too soft and you could hurt your toes. The heels would also be soft and not offer the rigidity needed to keep from twisting an ankle. The bottoms would probably not offer a good grip

Wading shoes have evolved over the years. The new boots are built with specific safety and performance criteria that rain boots won't meet. I think it is a bad idea strictly from a safety standpoint.
