Default Visiting Lake Chelan ?

I will be escorting my wife to a speaking engagement at Lake Chelan in early June. I can't dream of finally leaving muggy south Florida and not enjoying the fishing, especially as my dear wife labors at work. I have 8wt and 6wt setups, will the 6wt be too big for the species there? Any advise and info about what to expect in June is greatly appreciated.
