You obviously know something about Putah creek that I do not.
I fished it for a day last year (between Berryessa and Solano) around the same time and only saw one panfish.
Except for the ticks. There were a million ticks. I took about 20,000 of them back with me. And the mud snails. I did not do any wading because of the mud snails.
Of course, being shut out has never stopped me from going back to a spot.
Should I try it again?

Salmo forget I ever said anything about fishing this April. We are under water here and can barely come up for air before the floods start all over again and all the rivers are so blown I will update you when it clears around August

Thanks for the update. I am sorry to here that your fishing is blown out.
We are low on rainfall in this part of the state so I hope some of what you are getting shifts down here instead.
I do get up that way several times a year so if I go that way later on I will let you know.
