Default Broke in the new rod

Hit the river Sunday about 8pm. It's been in the 100+ degrees here and I figured around then would be magic hour, I figured right! There were fish surfacing quite a bit. I seen one steadily rising under a tree made my approach took a couple casts place the fly right and I watched him slurp it up. Set hook and it was a good fight landed him quickly snapped a pic and he was on his way. Not a bad way to break in a new rod and reel with a nice 16".
