Rubicon Trail

Any suggestions for flies or techniques for the lakes and streams along the Rubicon Trail? The map shows Loon Lake, Buck Island Lake, and a number of streams we will cross. I'm headed there for a 4 day trip in mid August.

Thanks,

Re: Rubicon Trail

Just bring your standard fare of Sierra flies. The trout are not as fly specific compared to other high pressured waters. Just bring a few different sizes of the listed flies.

Dries: Parachute Adams, Elk Hare Caddis, Stimulator, Royal Wulff, Ants
Nymphs: Hares Ear Nymph, Pheasant Tail
Streamer: Woolly Bugger
