Default Netflix movie about John Muir Trail

In the "General Discussions" forum there was a thread that got going about fishing-related movies on Netflix Instant. For those of you who have fished or hiked the Sierras, there's a documentary on Netflix Instant called "Mile... Mile and a Half". This one isn't actually about fishing, but it definitely captures the beauty of the Sierra backcountry, and it brings back a lot of happy memories.

Mile... Mile and a Half
"A group of artists leave their daily lives behind to hike California's John Muir Trail, the 219-mile stretch from Yosemite to Mount Whitney. Their goal: complete the journey in 25 days while capturing amazing sights and sounds along the way."

Been there. Truly one of the most astounding hikes on God's Green Earth.
I'll check this out.
Makes me smile just thinking back . . .

I just watched it last night.

Really awesome, and poignant. Some of the characters they meet on the journey were documented very well.

I wish I could take a month off to do a hike like that, although I'd be hard pressed to pass over water without wetting a line.

I'm watching it right now and I've gotta say... I'm pretty disappointed and actually quite frustrated. There's no way in hell that I could go on a journey like that and not fish. They're passing up SO many excellent fishing opportunities. Watching them walk through all those creeks and passing all those lakes. UGH!!! So frustrating!

Yes, but on the plus side, they left all those fish for you!

Yeah, the GF would smack me every time I perked up and yelled at the tv,

"WHY IS NO ONE FISHING THAT SPOT!? "

"You say that every 5 minutes. "

I barely fish 1/2 a mile when I fish my local stream. A voyage that long would take 4 years at that pace.
