Lucky you! What type of fishing experience are you looking for? I recently relocated from Nor Cal, I have a thought or two if you are looking for a sierra trout setting.

Craig - I fished the Stanislaus over the past couple of years. See my other post at http://www.theflyfishingforum.com/fo...tly-10788.html for general information. The upper Stanislaus area around Pinecrest Lake is pretty consistant. There are a number of decent spots and DFG is stocking the area this year. You can PM me if you'd like any additional information. RB

The Trinity is good for Steelhead, bigger ones are in the winter though. Good Browns too. Lake Shasta and Whiskeytown are good for Bass. Manzanita Lake is a good float tube lake as well as Baum Lake. As far as rivers go check out the Pitt, Hat Creek, the McCloud, the Upper Sac and the Lower Sac. All good fisheries but it depends on if you are fishing from a boat or not.
