Default Gunnison River 29" Brown

3 weeks ago I caught and released this wonderful Brown, He took a streamer pattern I call the Frankin-buggar, bucktail and squirrel, he gave me a 15min. fight and is the largest trout ever on the flyrod for me.

I'm going to have to take another pic of the fly......my wife has offered up a 10x7 shed out back, she was tired of fir and feathers flying around her kitchen...so when I can get to my tying room out back.......(we got alot of snow) I'll post some of my flies......glad to be a member of a great site that doesn't make fun of us long rodders......but here is my dedication....this tattoo was done this summer....

Congrats on that nice fish. I took the same trip last July and had an absolute blast. I didn't land anything quite that big but they were there and absolutely delicious-something I never, ever thought I'd say about trout! Our buddies caught several brownies in the 24-30" range you had to absolutely see to believe. I did not count on the very cool nights when we camped being July and the daytime temps were in the 80's.
