Davo: Great fishing report and photos of the Snake. Looks like you and Greg had a great time on the water! Is that Greg's raft or did you trade in your drift boat? Thanks for posting on the new Hydros rod, I haven't heard any first hand reports.

Hi Davo,

Thanks for sharing your trip. I was looking at one of the Hydros rods this week and it may be a better choice than the Helios for the money.

Hi Frank & Larry

I think the Hydros is a great rod for the money. I really liked the Helios rod of my Dad's. Now having cast the Hydros I think there will be a couple of additions to my fly rod selection this season. The anodized reel seat looks nice and matches the rod color. I can't remember ever crushing a guide on a rod so don't really see the need for the recoil guides. I understand they were originally design for easy removal of ice build up in guides for winter fishing. Also I really prefer the blue color of the Hydros, very nice looking rod.

Hi Jbbfly

Yes I was a bit tired by the afternoon when the picks were taken. I sleeped great today though so no worries!!

That is Greg's raft, have not cleaned up my boat yet. The winter parking regulations are still in effect but come the 15th I park in front of the house and get to work.

Thinking of making the change this year to a new Clackacraft Fly Pod. Here is a link to a short video of the new boat

Boy do I ever have you guys fooled.
You know the ol' saying "Behind every successful woman, you'll find her lawnboy" Pam takes very good care of her lawnboy.

PS. Since Pam came up, why don't you guys check out her site in my siggy line. (Mother's Day is coming soon. Hint, hint.)

Hi Moe

We did indeed have fun day! Th box was done for Greg by the manager of Jack Dennis Flyshop here in Jackson. His name is Jeff Courier and is a World Fly Fishing Championships medalist as well as an artist. I've heard rumors he is leaving Jack Denis and going out on his own. You can try contact the flyshop and asking if interested. They might have few of the box for sale. The writing on the box is a note to Greg and Jeff's signature.
