colorado trip

Just got back from colorado. Caught lots of fish but was disappointed that we didn't catch any rainbows. Whirling disease has pretty much dessimated the rainbow populations where we were fishing. We started at the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Caught LOTS of brown trout up to 18 inches. Next was the Taylor river below taylor Lake. Caught quite a few fish there also. Again, all browns. Then we went to the East River north of Crested Butte. I probably enjoyed this fishing the most. Unbeatable scenery and lots of brookies and a couple of cutthroat. Never saw another fisherman here either. Didn't see many fishermen at black canyon either. Can't wait til next year.
