Default Trip Tips --- advice needed!

me and a few buddies are flying into salt lake city and driving up to Glacier National Park for a road trip. on our way back down we are going through montana and wyoming stopping to fish along the way and would appreciate any tips or advice on places to stop, things to get, anything we would need to know!

We plan on coming back down through Grand Teton and Yellowstone. trying to keep it relatively cheap.

Unfortunately, this is about the worst possible two week span you could pick from a number of fishable options perspective, as this is the height of runoff. Tailwaters, the Missouri, Bighorn, maybe the Henry's Fork and lower Madison, are your best/only bets.

We're in Missoula MT, and you will drive right through here on your way to and from Glacier. We have 4 rivers that run through Missoula and we also head a little east of here and guide the Missouri river by Helena MT. Check out some of the rivers here, they are loaded with wild trout. The Black Foot, Bitter Root, Clark Fork, Rock Creek, and the Missouri rivers are here close to Missoula and they all have many public access areas that you can walk in and wade fish. give us a call if you need any advice or want to hop in a drift boat with us
good luck
Brooks

With all the snow and cold weather the Yellowstone is staying clear so far. Fishing has been epic lately. No guarantees for a week from now. However the extended forecast is cold and snowy.
