Re: WY Fly Fishing
Allan: Thanks. We just weren't prepared for that kind of cold. I have a pair of neoprene waders I left home (big mistake). We just got lucky with the impending cold front, the fish were on the feed. Last year when Pete and I floated the A section (the first seven miles from the dam) we got around 40 fish and had a fantastic day, but the fish were all on the skinny side. This year the fish all looked real healthy and we must of landed twice as many fish, and then stumbling onto the baetis hatch in the afternoon really topped off the day. Floating the A section is great from just the scenary standpoint, the cliff walls are 1,500-2,000 ft tall, it is an impressive site. That river should definitely be on your list.
