Default Bighorn River MT.

Im heading up to Billings on Sat. to do some christmas shopping with the wife and kids. I told er the only way I was going this weekend is if I could do some fishing on the Bighorn Sat. aftenoon or sunday morning. She said ok
This is my first trip to the area so any help / advice on a good area to wade fish, and what to use this time of year would be greatly appreciated.

Streamers have been doing REALLY well lately Yellow/Brown or Olive/Black are the best colors. If your nymphing use a worm or a sowbug as your top fly followed by a Red Midge Larva Size 18. You will probably find the best wade fishing by going into three mile and walking up or you can just stand in front of the first Island you see and catch fish all day if someone isn't there.

The shop is open 7 days a week from 7 A.M. until Noon. and as far as license requirements all you need is a Montana fishing license.
