Colorado River, Colorado Flies

Going fly fishing in CO in the middle of August, what fly would you recommend?
Looking for patterns to tie.

Welcome to the forums.

From your title, I am not sure if you are going to fish the Colorado River or are going to fish many, different rivers on your trip.

If you could just answer a few questions, I am sure you will get some good advice.

Exactly which rivers or rivers? Which city will you be staying in? Will you be wading or floating? Do you want to primarily nymph, fish dries, or strip streamers?

Let us know just a little more, and you will probably get more information than you will know what to do with.

Gary
