Default 1st Snow of the season

Fairly high elevation snow level.. 7,000 or above I'd guess, but the mountains around Bozeman look cool today

Funny how 2 weeks back it seemed so hot

We've had some on Mt Evans here in Colorado but nothing down here yet. We live at a bit over 8000', it generally doesn't snow here in August.

Nick,

I am hoping for a long, cold, snowy year!!

Is it safe to say, consistent snows will start in November in Summit Co? MIGHT be able to make a scouting trip around Thanksgiving.

I am probably not going to move till right after the first of the year. Which, I am thinking will make it hard to find a nice rental. Middle of ski/board season....and the influx of hippies....which i am pretty sure is going to happen.

Hard to believe it is coming on that time of year already. Reminds me that I didn't make it to a particular alpine lake this year. That's ok though, fished some new water instead.

No white stuff here yet, but the forecast is calling for 26 degrees at night for the next three nights. It won't be long.
