Default Wyoming Fishing with Dorian

A few years ago we had an active member Dorian.Ducker here on the forum and at one point Davo and I were all set to do a float with Dorian on the South Fork of the Snake, but Dorian had to back out at the last minute as his wife was expecting any day. Last week, I received a surprise PM from Dorian, he had moved from Idaho to Utah, changed jobs and now was looking to go fishing in Wyoming, so we decided to head down to the Green River and see what we could dredge up. We have been having winter conditions here in Pinedale for the past five days or so, but the forecast was looking very good for Fri/Sat so that was encouraging. I left early Friday morning to black ice on the roads and some local snow but to my surprise as I got out of town the roads dried up and the skies were clear. It turned out to be a great two days of fishing and it was even better to spend some time fishing with another forum member. Thanks Dorian for making this such an enjoyable weekend! Here are a few photos of the trip:

Dorian hooked up with a big Rainbow, he was on the opposite side of the river so unfortunately we didn't get a photo of that fish:

These fish aren't that long but they are chunky and feisty fighters:

Dorian lands a gorgeous Brown Trout, taped just shy of the 24 inch mark:

Cool, that looks like good spey water.
If you guys were fishing where I think you were fishing that's been on my list for years.
Unfortunately it's about 7 hours and a couple of passes and lots of mountains away from here.

Nice work! We used to have an active member here named Davo too . Larry, the fish you have in the pic with your glasses off looks like it has some Cutthroat in its lineage, is that possible? milt

As I've said in other threads, man I miss living out west! Fall was always my favorite time in Montana, Idaho, and Oregon. Nymphing? Streamers? Dries?

Well done gentlemen
