Dan: It was great to finally get to meet you. It was a little disappointing that Fysh and Pam couldn't make it, but the day turned out pretty good. Here is my fishing report:

It never fails....if we end up not making it the days turns epic!

We'll make it next time, really bummed this trip fell apart for us.

I've had smoked Whitey before and your right, it is really good, albeit a bit oily.

How did your homemade shooting head work out?

Hey guys,

The shooting head worked pretty well, but it seems to be more useful for covering water than accurate/quick casts from a moving boat. I think it will be more of a walk/wade tool maybe. Its fun to cast however!

I did fall in and took my first mini swim of the year! lol! At least I had a dry shirt and stuff to put on. I don't typically carry extra clothes but its been so variable with weather I had extra layers packed.

I think I will head out Saturday. It supposed to be windy so Ill probably just hole hop a bunch.
