Default Poudre River report

Spent the last 3 days on the poudre and it is fishing great! Quite a lot of open water, but it is spotty and tight. Did best on small (18-24) midge pupae, midge larvae, and emergers. Took a few with 16 - 18 nymphs as well.
prince, breadcrust, hares ears. Real good stretch near gateway park, which is open dawn til 5:30 at no charge. Walk up to spillway and work your way down. 10 - 16" browns, slowed a bit by water temp, but still fun to catch!!weather may close up the water soon, but til then it's great.

if you head up, post a note when you get back if you have a minute.

happy new year

steve
