Just some ideas off the top of my head:

Bigger fly
More flash
Faster retrieve

Like Biggie said bigger , flashier and faster. Try a 2 handed strip with no pause even if he's on top of it. You can't strip faster then they can swim.

Know at least 4 WR s that were caught using chum on the fly. Not legal by IGFA rules but it works . Haha. Good one Swirl!

I'm not saying I encourage it but sometimes you just have to land a fish...

I know that feeling. I was tempted to put a treble on my fly after losing 24 gar last month. Sometimes you just gotta figure it out!

Was only kidding. Go with the flash and fast retrieve. I've never done it and not about to start now. You'll get em. Funny I have a red sharpie out right now and I'm coloring in my muddler minnow for smallies. No chum though.

We're just messing around. Biggie and john have pointed you in the right direction. Your probably giving them too good a look at that fly. If you make it a flashy blur you may have better luck.
