Is this the south side of Governors Harbor? I caught my first bone in that exact same spot, and it was about the same size. Still pulled a good amount of line. Hooked a much, much larger one on the other side the next day but lost it with about 50 yards of backing left on my reel. It was my first trip and I think I landed two total, and hooked a handful more.

I am new to your forum so I thought a few pictures of my favorite saltwater fish to say hello. These Red and Black Drum were caught in Louisiana, sight fishing in 6" of water. I use an 8 wt Sage Xi2 with Wolff Triangle Taper floating line and crab flies. The big red was 40.5 lbs on the Boga Grip. All the fish were over 30 and released unharmed.

Great photos, landscapes too and some nice bonefish no matter the size! Thanks for sharing!

(someone please remind me the reasons why I'm still living somewhere cold)

I'm so in love with saltwater fly fishing and I haven't even done it yet! I'm supposed to head down to Galveston in April. I hope that I have as much luck as you guys do. The skiff and the technique reminds me a lot of fishing for carp, except its beautiful salt water... and... warmth... how I miss warmth...

I'm a saltwater fishing lover as well! Luckily this year I'm returning in May to Cuba to fishi in the PEROLA, and in August for my first hosted trip in Cayo Cruz!!! Here are some pics of last year and 2012 fishing.
