In all honesty I've seen the sea robins and stargazers before, sea robins in person. But they're not exactly a highly-sought-after game species, nor a stereotypical shape for a fish! I like how they hop around. For some reason it reminds me of when a dive leader put a dive light up to an inflated puffer to make an underwater lantern. It gave a "you have to be kidding me" look then calmly swam off. For a fish with such an intimidating defense mechanism, they tend to have quite an interesting personality...

So far 14 pounds is my best fish (last photo), but then I'm limited to June, July, and early August. But I'm not complaining, that 14 on the 8 weight was a blast!

Look behind me in the last photo, over my right shoulder. You can see a few fish tailing.

Beautiful fish Homer! Perhaps next year the Alaska trip we spoke of.......... The weather definitely won't be as pleasant by the looks of it.

I don't know, but here he is from the side. This was the first fish I caught on the first day. Turks & Caicos. The bonefishing's pretty good there. Google "Beyond the Blue".
