Default Re: Which Rod? TFO TicR 7 wt?

My 8 wt. TFO Axiom is the stiffest rod I'll ever buy. It works fine, but unless the wind is really strong, I can get the same distance with my old Jim Teeny model. I've caught 2 lb. bones to 20 lb. + bonito on both rods. Both the stiff and the soft rod have the same effect on the fish, but the Jim Teeny is easier on me. A well-known fly fishing legend from the FL Keys told me years ago, "Rods? Learn to cast the one you have well."
