Absolutely! Sounds like a plan.

I have a 10wt BVK that I used to punch an Orvis Wonderline Tarpon Taper line into a 25mph wind in Louisiana. I completely agree that the rod is way more than the two and a half bills it costs. My guide was/is a dedicated Sage man, and while it was tough to get him to admit it, the BVK made him smile. He bought 3 for client rods.

As for durability, mine is the original version with the REC recoil guides, and it has ridden the bottom of bouncing boats for two years without a hitch.

Cool Breeze Marco! I dig it when the lower price point rods outshine high price tags!

Mine has the recoils as well so I guess it's an early model. I'll get some time on it and see how it holds up.

Me too. I have so many 9's and 10's I could probably do a full blown shoot out.
