Tarpon fishing at Isla Holbox in December?

Hi,

Has anyone been in Isla Holbox for Tarpon fishing towards the end of December? How is the fishing condition at Holbox during that time of the year and is there any chance of getting into the medium size 50lb class Tarpon at all on fly tackle? I may have a slot for the week before Christmas and am wondering if its worth going.

Thanks in advance for your advise.

Alejandro Vega Cruz is the guy to contact at Holbox. mrsandfleaholbox1@hotmail.com

I cannot comment on the adult and teenaged tarpon. If I recall, the juvenile tarpon are still active in the mangroves.
