If you are a kayaker and willing to rent one, I can share with you a couple of fly fishing areas. October and November are the best months down here for chasing tailing Reds. The baby shrimp are flooding out of the marshes headed for the Gulf and the Reds become completely stupid!! Also the Flounder in November are just as stupid as they head to the Gulf.

Where are you traveling from? Hope you enjoy your visit and shuffle your feet when wading due to stingrays.

So that's twice that I've heard "shuffle your feet." What exactly do you mean by this? Sorry for being naive, but I have no experience with the ocean.

Slide your feet when you wade down there. If you come across a ray, you'll just push him out of your way. If you pick up your feet and step on one, you'll wish you remembered to slide your feet. You will come upon some, totally harmless as log as you don't step on them.
