Default St George Island FL, Beta

Hey Folks,

Looks like a I am going to be heading down to SGI on a family vacation(wife has been there once for a press trip and has wanted to go down with the fam since). Looking at end of May or June. Would love any insights on the fishing down there.

Would be my first Salt water fishing.
Will be flying so I wont have a boat.
Am thinking of getting a guide for 1 day, so recs there would be awesome.
Would like to know if the flats are fishable without a boat.

Let me know if there is any other info that would help.

Thank you!
(always willing to return the favor for Beta around Colorado.)

I'm jealous, that should be an awesome trip, congrats! I'm familiar with the area as I was stationed at Tyndall AFB in Panama City, FL but back then I wasn't into fishing so I can't help but hopefully some of the other members can provide assistance.

Thanks Larry, I'm looking forward to it! I'm pretty excited as it will be my first time wetting a fly in salt water.

Robinson Brothers guides. You should rent a kayak and launch from state park. There are wadeable flats off hwy 98 east of Eastpoint.
