Default It was all wrong, but it felt sooo good...

5:30 AM on Sunday and I couldn't sleep. What's an insomniac fisherman to do? I threw on a pair of wool socks, two pairs of thermals which made my neoprenes a little tighter than I 'm comfortable with and I took off for the bay.
It was cold, the wind was howling, the tide was wrong and i slapped my stripping basket so many times I thought my fingers were going to fall off. Not a fish to be seen, but it felt so good to be back in the water. No fish, but a great morning. Enjoy the pics.

Cool sunrise photos! Yes I know the feeling well, you just have to hit the water and it would be nice to catch a fish but really doesn't bother you that you didn't, it just feels great being out on the water with a fly rod.

Thanks, sometimes I think I'm a better photographer than fisherman.
