Early season Fluke on the Fly
Rolled out of bed at 6am to a rainy soupy morning. Grabbed a 9WT, a set of waders, a wading jacket and picked up my buddy Frank to fish the outgoing tide.
The Stripers and Blue fish have been in the bay all week, but of course when we arrived we were informed that we missed them by an hour. The bait moved out of the harbor and the fish went with them. Oh well, atleast we were out. Got in some casting practice and managed to land an early Fluke (Summer Flounder) while bouncing a Clouser along the bottom.
we didn't get what we came for, but at least I didn't get skunked.
