this is the same item i thanked joni for in another post. i tied it up on my 8wt in a matter of minutes. held up beautifully. yet to hook into a salmon with it though. but still trying.

yes you can attach some split shots on the leader above the fly. i've done this a couple of times while out steelhead fishing. the best of luck to you.

will have to keep this in mind. i've had problems with the braided loops from time to time. (not getting them all the way against the fly line) that and the idea of having to apply heat to fly line...

my bad miss read the post. i use the braided loops also.(just buy 2 different colors. 1 for the 5wt and 1 for my 8wt.)

one thing i forgot was for my hooks. i use a medium sized tackle style container with a bunch of small boxes i got from harbor freight. works great for my hooks.

organized. yea right. here's my set-up. table is a 4'x2' folding table from sam's club about $40, 2 3 drawer stackables about $10 at walmart, and about 14 stackable plastic shoe boxes from walmart...
