Re: Allen trout II durable?

I've bought some decent reels off of steepandcheap.com. My trout 2 has been fine so far, trout 1 drag will only tighten about halfway. Been swimming a lot. My reels are tools not decorations.

Re: Blue(Oklahoma) and the LMF.

Ive never been to the Blue myself so it would be my first trip. It is a winter only trout fishing area stocked from November thru the end of February I believe. LMF has changed even more now with...

Re: Blue(Oklahoma) and the LMF.

Im guessing you fished zone 2 or 3? Won't be long and zone 1 will be open. We might take a trip to the Blue this week. I tied a bunch of cracklebacks yesterday, probably one of my favorite flies.

Re: Are the measure nets accurate?

I just got one, it will be good enough for me. I got marks on my rod but most of the time those wiggly trout don't hold still long enough and I drop them so I don't get an accurate measurement.

Re: A Very Timely Test & Review of Grip Studs

I've never had an ice screw pull out of the sole of my boot. They do wear down quick is my only complaint but that is to be expected walking on a lot of rocks.
